Roasted Apples with Cinnamon and Honey
Ingredients (serves 4):
• 4 apples (Golden or Pink Lady variety)
• 2 tablespoons of honey
• 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
• A pinch of nutmeg (optional)
• 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
• A small knob of butter (or coconut oil for a vegan version)
• A few crushed walnuts or almonds (optional)
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Wash and core the apples, leaving the skin on.
3. Place them in an oven-safe dish.
4. In a small bowl, mix the honey, cinnamon, lemon juice, and nutmeg.
5. Pour this mixture over the apples, then add a small knob of butter on each one.
6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the apples are tender and slightly caramelized.
7. Serve warm with a bit of yogurt, crème fraîche, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
